Registering for: American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider (CPR)


Description 

This 4 hour lecture, video and hands-on course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages; including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-valve-mask device and oxygen use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction.

Prerequisite: The applicant must be 18 years of age, and HS graduate or completed GED.

Recognition: Successful completion of this course provides American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider recognition, a certificate of completion and meets one component of re-licensure as recognized by the Unit of EMS for the State of Missouri and Illinois Department of Public Health.
